Downtown Boquete, also called Bajo Boquete, in nestled in a valley and surrounded by mountains.
With altitudes ranging between 1200 feet at the lowest point and 11,400 feet at the highest 
oint (the highest point being Volcan Baru) Boquete has a variety of weather the higher in
altitude you live. There are 21 different micro climates. 

Usually, if you live in the city center, also known as Bajo Boquete, you can experience
the highs to be around 80 degrees and the lows to be 60 degrees. However, if you live on
one of the hills for example Volcancito or Jaramillo, you can expect the weather to change
because of a higher elevation. for example Volcancito (a neighborhood up in the hills of 
                                                                                       
Boquete) tends to have drier weather with highs around 75 degrees and lows in the 60s. 

If you lived on the opposite hill in Jaramillo, you could experience much more rain in
the rainy season which is between May through December. 

Boquete offers a variety of different elevations. Downtown Boquete (Bajo Boquete) is
at 3400 feet. Besides a variety of neighborhoods, there is also a gated community called
Valle Escondido which has a 9-hole golf course, indoor swimming pool, tennis court, 
a restaurant and a cantina. Valle Escondido has single family houses, condos and apartments. 

To the East is Jaramillo which has elevations as high as 6000 feet. There is one gated
community called The Springs. It only has high end houses and no amenities. 

To the West is Volcancito which has several residential communities as high as 6,000 feet.
A popular neighborhood is Santa Lucia which is at 4000 feet. 

To the North are several residential communities and one gated community called Boquete
Plantation in Alto Quiel which is at 5,000 feet. 

To the South is Alto Boquete (4000 feet) with a variety of residential neighborhoods
and a few grocery stores and restaurants. About 10 minutes South and East is the 
entrance to a gated very high end community called Lucero. And, about 10 minutes South 
and West is the entrance to the Palmira neighborhood which is at 3000 feet. 

Just before you get to Palmira, there is a gated community called Boquete Country Club which
has single family houses and condo. 

About half way between Boquete and David is the town of Dolgea, at about 1000 feet, which
has affordable rentals, grocery stores and some Panamanian
restaurants.
